Terms of Service

Service terms for remote WordPress security and maintenance work delivered to U.S.-focused clients.

Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-02-26

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to the WordPress security, malware removal, recovery, and maintenance services provided by WP Security Response ("we", "us"). By purchasing or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services and deliverables

We provide remote technical services for WordPress websites (including but not limited to malware investigation and cleanup, hacked site recovery, monitoring, maintenance, and small fixes). Deliverables may include a written diagnosis report, cleanup actions, and guidance on prevention steps. Specific scope and deliverables will be described in your order, invoice, or written confirmation.

2. How the process works

  • Diagnosis / assessment: we review files, database, server signals, and symptoms to identify malware and likely entry points.
  • Cleanup / recovery: we remove malicious code and restore safe operation based on agreed scope.
  • Stabilization: we verify critical paths (login, forms, checkout where applicable) and apply basic hardening steps.
  • Maintenance (optional): ongoing monitoring, updates, and monthly support per plan terms.

3. Access and client responsibilities

To perform the service, you agree to provide accurate and timely access as needed, such as:

  • WordPress admin access (administrator role)
  • Hosting panel / SSH / SFTP access (as applicable)
  • Database access (as applicable)
  • Backup access and/or permission to create backups

You are responsible for maintaining ownership rights to the website and content, and for responding to our requests in a timely manner. Delays in access or approvals may delay delivery timelines.

4. Backups

We strongly recommend keeping regular backups. We may create a backup before making changes when feasible, but you remain responsible for having a reliable backup strategy. If the hosting environment is compromised, a full server rebuild may be recommended as part of recovery.

5. Payments, invoices, and taxes

Payment is due according to the invoice or checkout instructions. For international payments, your payment processor may charge additional fees. You are responsible for any applicable taxes or duties required in your jurisdiction.

6. Refund policy

Refund terms depend on the service stage and what has already been delivered. Please review our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

7. No guarantee of future security

Security is an ongoing process. While we use reasonable efforts and professional judgment to identify and remove malware and harden the site, we do not guarantee that a website will never be compromised again. Future infections can occur due to new vulnerabilities, credential compromise, third‑party issues, or changes outside our control.

8. Third‑party services

Your website may rely on third‑party services (hosting providers, plugins, themes, CDNs, payment gateways, email services). We are not responsible for outages, vulnerabilities, or failures caused by third‑party services. If a third‑party issue is discovered, we will recommend next steps.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WP Security Response will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to the services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

10. Confidentiality

We treat your credentials, private data, and non‑public business information as confidential and use access only for service delivery. You should remove or rotate credentials after the project if desired. If you require an NDA, we can provide one on request.

11. Acceptable use

Our services are for website recovery, maintenance, and protection. We do not provide services intended to compromise third‑party systems or perform illegal activities. We may refuse service if we reasonably believe the request is unlawful.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate service if required access is not provided, invoices are not paid, or if we detect misuse. You may stop using the service at any time; completed work and delivered reports remain billable per invoice terms.

13. Governing law

These services are delivered remotely by a team based in China. Unless a separate master service agreement, statement of work, invoice, or written order confirmation states otherwise, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith by email. If a formal contract is required for your organization, governing law, venue, and vendor terms should be stated in that signed agreement before work begins.

We are transparent that our team operates from China while serving U.S.-focused clients remotely in English. If you require an NDA, procurement review, or customized vendor terms, contact us before sharing access.
